Funk / Soul

Funk and Soul are two musical genres that have had a decisive influence on the development of modern music, especially hip-hop music. Although they are different, they share common roots and have influenced each other on many levels.

Funk is a musical genre that developed in the early 1970s and is characterized by a strong rhythm and dynamic bass lines. The music focuses on groove, that is, the sense of rhythm and the energy transmitted through the instruments, mainly the bass, percussion and wind instruments.

Soul music developed in the 1950s and 1960s in the United States, with a key characteristic of emotional interpretation and the intense use of the voice. Soul incorporates elements of gospel, rhythm and blues (R&B), and jazz, and is known for expressing emotions through its melodies and lyrics.
